LA FAMIGLIA ORIONINA RENDE OMAGGIO A GIOVANNI PAOLO II

I Consigli generali rendono omaggio al Santo Padre nella Sala Clementina.
Questa mattina, con tutto il Consiglio generale dei Figli della Divina Provvidenza , mi sono recato a pregare e a rendere omaggio alla salma di Papa Giovanni Paolo II. Ci precedeva il Consiglio generale delle Piccole Suore Missionarie della Carità . Una lunga attesa di 4 ore in piedi valeva la gioia e il dovere di dire grazie a questo grande Papa.
Nei brevi istanti di sosta davanti al suo Corpo, composto nella Sala Clementina, ho inteso presentare il GRAZIE di tutta la Congregazione per il dono di Giovanni Paolo II e per i tanti doni da lui ricevuti, primo fra tutti quello della beatificazione e della canonizzazione di Don Orione .
In quella Sala, la Clementina , non potevo non ricordare tanti momenti festosi e solenni in cui incontrai il Papa e lo vidi nello splendore della sua figura e ne ascoltai la parola illuminata: quando ricevette i nostri Capitoli generali precedenti rivolgendo memorabili discorsi , quando, officiale della Congregazione per la Dottrina della Fede, mi recai alcune volte in udienza e – soprattutto – quando il 7 luglio 2003 e poi il 19 febbraio 2004, in due solenni Concistori, promulgò il Decreto sul miracolo e sulla canonizzazione di Don Orione.
L'omaggio della Famiglia Orionina, in Basilica S. Pietro, martedì 5, ore 10.00
Domattina, alle ore 10, è convocata invece una nutrita rappresentanza della Famiglia orionina delle case romane e viciniori e ci recheremo a rendere omaggio alla salma del Santo Padre che da questa sera, alle ore 20, sarà esposta in Basilica di San Pietro.
L'appuntamento è alle 9.30 al cancello che introduce alla Sala Paolo VI.
Potremo entrare dalla “Porta della preghiera”, dal lato del Sant'Uffizio.
Era intenzione rendere il ringraziamento a Giovanni Paolo II per la canonizzazione di Don Orione con la Festa del Papa che stiamo organizzando del 28-29 giugno prossimo. Andremo da lui, invece, in preghiera e per l'estremo saluto. Indosseremo ancora sciarpe e berretti della canonizzazione rimasti. Chi li ha ancora, li porti. Non ci sarà festosità esterna, ma ugualmente tanta commozione e affetto di figli. Volevamo organizzare anche una Messa, ma abbiamo rinunciato a causa della ressa di gente e della difficoltà degli spostamenti.
Veglia di preghiera a Ognissanti, giovedì 7, ore 20.00
Nella parrocchia di Ognissanti si terrà una Veglia di preghiera: parole, canti e preghiere ricordando Giovanni Paolo II . Sono invitati tutti i giovani e orionini che si trovano a Roma per partecipare al saluto della Chiesa al Papa (Funerale, venerdì 8, ore 10.00). E' un altro momento di incontro della Famiglia Orionina in comunione spirituale con il Papa che da poco il Signore ha chiamato a sé.
A queste iniziative romane, sono certo, corrispondono tante iniziative degli Orionini in ogni paese e città per portare “ tanti cuori attorno al Papa, cuore della Chiesa ”.

Les Conseils généraux rendent hommage au Saint Père dans la Salle Clementina.
Ce matin, avec tout Conseil général des Fils de la Divine Providence , je me suis rendu pour prier et rendre hommage au corps du Pape Jean-Paul II. Le Conseil général des Petites Sœurs Missionnaires de la Charité nous a précédé. Une longue attente de 4 heures debout valait la joie et le devoir de dire merci à ce grand Pape.
Dans les brefs instants de notre présence devant son Corps, exposé dans la Salle Clementina , j'ai présenté LE MERCI de toute la Congrégation pour le don de Jean-Paul II et pour tant de dons reçus de lui, d'abord et surtout celui de la béatification et de canonisation de Don Orione .
Dans cette Salle, la Clementina , je ne pouvais pas ne pas rappeler de tant d'instants festifs et
solennels dans lesquels je rencontrai le Pape et je le vis dans la splendeur de sa figure et j'en écoutai la parole illuminée : quand il reçut nos Chapitres généraux précédents adressant des discours mémorables , quand, Officier de la Congrégation pour la Doctrine de la Foi , je me rendis quelques fois en audience et - surtout - lorsque le 7 Juillet 2003 et ensuite le 19 février 2004, en deux solennels Consistoires il promulgua le Décret sur le miracle et sur la canonisation de Don Orione.
L'hommage de la Famille Orioniste , en la Basilique S. Pierre mardi 5, à 10h.00
Demain matin à 10heures, est convoquée par contre une bonne représentation de la Famille orioniste des maisons romaines et environs et nous irons pour rendre hommage au corps du Saint Père qui dès ce soir, à 20h, sera exposé en la Basilique Saint Pierre.
Le rendez-vous est à 9,30 à la grille qui introduit à la Salle Paul VI. Nous pourrons entrer par la "Porte de la prière", du côté du Saint Office. C'était une intention de remercier Jean-Paul II pour la canonisation de Don Orione avec la Fête du Pape que nous organisons les 28-29 juin prochains. Nous irons à lui, par contre, en prière et pour l'extrême salut. Nous mettrons encore les écharpes et les bérets de la canonisation. Qui les a encore, les porte. Il n'y aura pas festivité extérieure, mais également beaucoup de commotion et affection filiale. Nous voulions organiser même une Messe, mais nous avons renoncé à cause de la présence excessive des gens et de la difficulté des déplacements.
Veillée de prière à Ognissanti, jeudi 7, à 20h.00
Dans la paroisse d'Ognissanti se tiendra une Veillée de prière : lectures, chants et prières en souvenir de Jean-Paul II. Sont invités tous les jeunes et orionistes qui se trouvent à Rome pour participer au salut de l'Église au Pape (Enterrement, vendredi 8, à 10h.00). C'est un autre moment de rencontre de la Famille Orioniste en communion spirituelle avec le Pape que le Seigneur depuis peu a rappelé à lui.
À ces initiatives romaines, je suis certain, correspondent tant d'autres initiatives des Orionistes dans chaque pays et ville pour porter "tant de cœurs autour du Pape, cœur de l'Église ".

The two General Councils pay their respects to the Holy Father in the Clementine Hall .
This morning, together with the General Council of the Sons of Divine Providence , I went to pray and pay my respects to the body of Pope John Paul II. In front of us was the General Council of the Little Missionary Sisters of Charity . Standing in a long queue for 4 hours, was worth it to experience the joy and the duty of saying thank you to this great Pope.
Pausing for a few seconds before his body, exposed in the Clementine Hall, I wanted to offer the THANK YOU of the whole Congregation for the gift of John Paul II and for the many favours we received from him, first of all that of the beatification and the canonisation of Don Orione .
Whilst there, in the Clementine Hall, I could not but remember the many joyful and solemn occasions in which I met the Pope, saw him in the brightness of his presence and listened to his enlightened words: when he received in audience the previous General Chapters and gave memorable speeches , and when, as an officer of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, I was sometimes received in audience by him and - above all - when on the 7 th July 2003 and then on 19 th February 2004, during two solemn Concistories, he enacted the Decree on the miracle and on the canonisation of Don Orione.
The homage of the Don Orione Family, in the Basilica of St Peter, Tuesday 5 th , at 10.00 a .m .
Tomorrow morning, at 10.00 a .m. we are calling on all the members of the Don Orione family of the houses in Rome and nearby area to go to pay our respects to the body of the Holy Father, that from this evening, from 8.00 p.m. is lying in state in the Basilica of St Peter.
The rendezvous is for 9.30, at the gates leading to the Paul VI Hall .
We are permitted to enter through the "Door of the Prayer", on the side of the Holy Office .
We had intended to offer our thanks to John Paul II for the canonisation of Don Orione with the Feast of the Pope planned for the 28-29 June next. Instead, we will go to him, in prayer and to pay our last respects. We will wear the canonisation scarves and hats left. Those who still have them, bring them with you. This will not be an outward celebration, but just a lot of emotion and affection of sons. We would have liked also to celebrate a Mass, but we gave up the idea because of the concourse of the crowds and the difficulties in moving around.
A Prayer Vigil at Ognissanti, Thursday 7 th , at 8,00 p.m .
In the parish of Ognissanti, there will take place a Prayer Vigil: words, songs and prayers remembering John Paul II . The young people and the Don Orione members in Rome are invited to take part in the farewell of the Church to the Pope (Funeral, Friday 8t h, at 10.00 a .m.) It will be another get-together of the Don Orione Family in spiritual communion with the Pope, who has just been called to Himself by the Lord.
These are the events programmed for Rome : I am sure that there will be similar ones organised by the Don Orione people in other countries and towns to lead " many hearts around the Pope, the heart of the Church ".

Os Conselhos gerais prestam homenagem ao Santo Padre na Sala Clementina.
Essa manhã, com todo o Conselho geral dos Filhos da Divina Providência, fui rezar e prestar homenagem ao corpo do Papa João Paulo II. Precedia-nos o Conselho geral das Pequenas Irmãs Missionárias da Caridade. Uma longa espera de 4 horas em pé valia a alegria e o dever de agradecer a este grande Papa.
Nos breves instantes de parada diante do seu Corpo, exposto na Sala Clementina, quis apresentar o OBRIGADO de toda a Congregação pela vida de João Paulo II e pelos tantos dons que dele recebemos, o primeiro de todos a beatificação e a canonização de Dom Orione .
Naquela Sala, a Clementina, não poderia não recordar tantos momentos festivos e solenes nos quais encontrei o Papa e o vi no esplendor da sua figura e escutei a sua palavra iluminada: quando recebeu os nossos Capítulos gerais precedentes dirigindo a nós memoráveis discursos , quando, oficial da Congregação para a Doutrina da Fé, com Ele estive algumas vezes em audiência e – sobretudo – quando no dia 7 de julho de 2003 e depois, no dia 19 de fevereiro de 2004, nos dois solenes Consistórios, promulgou o Decreto sobre o milagre e sobre a canonização de Dom Orione.
A homenagem da Família Orionita, na Basílica São Pedro, terça feira, 5 de abril, às 10 horas
Para amanhã cedo, às 10 horas, é convocada uma consistente representação da Família Orionita das casas romanas e vizinhas e iremos prestar homenagem ao corpo do Santo Padre que, já a partir dessa noite, estará exposta na Basílica de São Pedro.
O encontro está marcado para as 9:30hs no portão de entrada para a Sala Paulo VI.
Poderemos entrar pela “Porta da oração”, do lado do Santo Ofício.
Era nossa intenção apresentar o nosso agradecimento a João Paulo II pela canonização de Dom Orione com a Festa do Papa que estamos organizando para os dias 28-29 de junho próximo. Todavia, iremos a Ele em oração e para a última saudação. Usaremos, mais uma vez, os cachecóis ( sciarpe) e bonés que sobraram da canonização. Quem tem, traga-os consigo. Não existirá demonstrações externas de alegria, mas muita comoção e afeto de filhos. Queríamos organizar também uma celebração eucarística, mas tivemos que renunciar a isso devido ao grande número de pessoas e às dificuldades de deslocamento.
Vigília de oração na Paróquia Ognissanti , quinta feira, dia 7, às 20hs.
Na paróquia de Ognissanti ocorrerá uma Vigília de oração: palavras, cantos e orações recordando João Paulo II. São convidados todos os jovens e orionitas que se encontram em Roma para participar à saudação da Igreja ao Papa (Funeral, sexta feira dia 8, às 10hs). É um outro momento de encontro da Família Orionita em comunhão espiritual com o Papa que, há pouco, o Senhor chamou a Si.
A essas iniciativas romanas, estou seguro, corresponderão tantas iniciativas dos Orionitas em todos os países e cidades para colocar “ tantos corações em volta do Papa, coração da Igreja ”.
